I capture your family’s love in all forms, from the very early stages of maternity photos to the newborn stage and early months of your baby’s life, to your kids growing up. Molly Simone Photography is where your story of motherhood and your family’s journey meets magic.
My candid and soft photography is designed to celebrate the beauty of your pregnancy, the delicate nature of your newborn, and the love between your family. Every family is different, and I focus on capturing the unique story, feel, and needs of your family. Need time to get ready while I photograph your newborn? My newborn and family sessions build in time for that! Worried that your toddler won’t sit still for photos? That’s what I’m for - we’ll get great photos no matter how antsy everyone is!
With soft tones and natural settings, your photos will be timeless pieces you’ll have in your home for decades to come. You’ll receive a gallery with a blend of lifestyle and portrait photography that captures your visual story of love and new beginnings for your family.
One of the biggest fears I hear from parents is that they don’t know how they’ll wrangle the whole family into a group photo. My authentic, true-to-life approach documents your family’s love in a way that spotlights your kids’ silliness, your baby’s sleepiness, and you and your partner in all your parenting love.
There’s an art to capturing newborn photos that are very artistic and edited, but there’s something special about having more candid, timeless photos of your newborn. I focus on capturing photos that are in your home and have a studio feel allowing you and your baby to shine in the moment.
Whether you’re looking for a single maternity session or want to bundle it with your baby’s newborn session, I make the experience comfy for you! You’ll come away with true-to-color photos to post, print, or display for years to come.
I felt drawn to focusing on motherhood photography after the birth of my son. I wanted to capture every milestone of my son's life when I realized just how quickly it all went by. The newborn scrunch, the reflex smiles, the tiny toes and fingers, the dreamy smiles and yawns. I wanted it permanently imprinted in my mind so I would never forget it. Fortunately, we live in a generation where capturing these moments is right at our fingertips and we are capable of having videos and photos of all these moments.
It wasn't until a few months into turning my hobby into a business that I suffered a ruptured ectopic pregnancy resulting in emergency surgery and the removal of my fallopian tube. It was my second loss in three years - my first miscarriage happening in 2022, before becoming pregnant with my son. It had a very big impact on myself and my husband. It made us much more thankful for our son. Even though I felt drawn to motherhood photography after the birth of my son, this event really solidified this desire. We go through so much as women, in the pregnancy and post-partum stage that we deserve to have beautiful photos with our babies, no matter how that looks. Mothers are so often the ones behind the camera. Looking at my own baby album, I have very few photos with my mom because she's often the one taking the photos. I want to help change this for you. My favorite photos are the ones where I am present in the photos with my son and I hope to do the same for you.
I love working with newborns and young children. Their innocent, pure, unfiltered emotions that are brought to each moment make every photo a genuine and heartwarming reflection of their wonder and curiosity. It allows us to forget about the real world for a small moment and see the world in a different perspective. Photography is a way to freeze time. It's a way to take a moment in time and make it a memory. My favorite subject, of course, is my son. He makes me love my job because it allows me to capture the same joy for other families as capturing photos of my son does for me.
As a fellow mom, I know the new days of having a baby are hard enough! I do studio-style newborn photos brought to you. The last thing you want to think about after you have a baby is having to pack up everyone in your family, including a newborn, get ready and head to a studio for photos, so I bring the studio to you!
You’ll still get stunning photos with my full set up with a posing table, backdrops, props, swaddles and wraps available to you. I bring everything to the comfort of your own home and while I'm doing baby's photos, I encourage my client's to take that time getting ready for the short family session that is included at the end of the session.
I am one of the few that loved the newborn stage. I loved when my son was tiny, little and brand new. The tiny details, the reflex smiles, the baby's breath, I loved it all. This was my passion to pursue newborn photography. I wanted to help other families capture these tiny details that would be gone far too quickly.
